Bee-eater Buffet

Bee-Eater Buffet

Our acrobatic white-throated bee-eaters hunt live crickets on the wing during the daily feeding at 2:45 p.m. in the World of Birds. Watch their amazing aerial tricks and ask a zookeeper your questions about birds.

Bug Carousel

Bug Carousel

Imagine bugs so big you can ride them! Enjoy a true flight of fancy aboard a long-legged praying mantis, a bright green grasshopper, or another of your favorite creepy-crawlies. The Bug Carousel is open year-round. In cool weather, sliding glass doors make it an indoor experience.

Camel Ride

Camel Rides

Saddle up and hop on a hump! Experience a very unique form of New York City transit when you ride a camel around Wild Asia Plaza. Ride can accommodate up to three children, or one adult.

Dora and Diego's 4D Adventure

Dora & Diego’s 4-D Adventure

Join your adventurous amigos in a high-speed chase to protect the animals of the rainforest from Swiper’s out-of-control Robot Butterfly! This 4-D adventure combines a high-definition 3-D film with effects such as wind, mist, scents and dramatic lighting to take you on a multi-sensory journey.

Penguin Feeding

Penguin Feedings

During the daily feeding in the Russell B. Aitken Sea Bird Colony at 3:30 p.m., watch Magellanic penguins come out of their dens or up from the deep and bob for fish. Ask a keeper your questions about the birds.

Primate Training

Primate Training

Visit the Monkey House to watch a training demonstration at 2:30 p.m. daily. Monkeying around is all in a day’s work for keepers who work with the primates on various behaviors that are fun for people, too.

Sea Lion Feeding

Sea Lion Feedings

At the heart of the park, bark hello to California sea lions and meet their keepers. Two daily feeding and training demonstrations for the Zoo’s noisiest residents make the sea lion pool one of our most popular attractions.
